Classes by groups 1& 2

Hi everyone, welcome back to another entry!馃槉

Last week, our journey as teachers begun and it was really exciting馃専

We had a total of 10 to 15 students from different ages, the classroom was so diverse and overall it was a great and different vibe having guests in the classroom.

The first group was Diana's group and they did a great job considering that they had no group before them that they could use as a guide. Their topic was greetings anad they also taught the alphabet, I really liked how they had the students create their name tags and they did a little activity for everyone to get to know each other. It was a great start. They taught formal and informal ways to greet someone and also to give personal information like their age and their profession.

Here are our students introducing themselves.

The first group taught the letters from the alphabet and provided examples of different words and the students learned new vocabulary.

In order for the students to practice what they just learned, they had them come up to the board and finish some sentences, it was great to see that everyone was raising their hand to participate.

The second group was Eli's group and I really liked their warm up activity, they had the students order the different pronouns and the forms of the verb to be in order to from sentences, they all did a great job and they would also play some background jusic from time to time, they played the hot potato game and it was a good activity for students to loosen up after nearly two hours of class and the all had fun.

They had the students work in pairs and they created a role-play using everything they learned that day from both classes, here are two students practicing their English and the new vocabulary they just learned.

Right when I was leaving, this cute buddy sneaked its way into the classroom馃槡

And that was a wrap for the first week of our lessons! All of my classmates did a great job and props to them for being the very first groups to go, the rest of us definitely learned from their lessons and took some inspiration and we now know what other things we can incorporate to our lessons, there are 6 groups left so stay tuned for my next entries, thank you for reading, bye-bye!馃憢
